"Soup?" Frederick looked puzzled. "You want me to come in for soup, Ms. York?"

He couldn't help but wonder what Jennifer was playing at.

"What else?" Jennifer tossed her hair back. She raised an eyebrow and asked, "Officer Sanders, what's the occasion?"

"Jennifer, I came to see you because…I wanted to clear things up about last night." Donovan chuckled awkwardly. "I've got you some health supplements!"

Jennifer responded coolly, "I'm fine, thanks. You ran pretty fast last night. With your speed, we might not have been caught by the Ripper."

Donovan's expression shifted at her remark and he clarified, "I was going to get backup! I know there was a misunderstanding, which is why I brought a special gift to make up for you." He perked up and added, "I have an invitation to the Laguna Business Banquet hosted by the Tiger Faction. It's the event of the year with all the major company owners eager to attend."
