Chapter 44 –  Same, Same, Same

(Lexi’s POV)

I peered through the ajar door and saw Frank chatting with Aliyah. I sighed and pursed my lips, wishing my little sister could see that Captain America looked dashing tonight, even without his costume on, and I had to look at him again and then to myself to be sure I wasn’t overdressed for our first date.

I couldn’t even call it a date when I asked him this morning if we could have an early dinner, a quick one which I have no idea how. Although Lexa told me Finn was too understanding that he was willing to wait for her even at midnight, I still didn’t want to risk spending much time with Frank when I had to change from Lexi to Lexa. We may be identical, but I knew exactly her preferred clothes when going on a date.

Closing my eyes, I inhaled and exhaled many times before opening the door wide, showing Frank my best smile when he looked at me.
