Chapter 7: The First Night
"Can I ask where are we going now?" She couldn't help to ask as they were in the car while he was he driving.
She doesn't understand but the wedding reception is just ten minutes drive going to the airport but he has been driving for half an hour now. It was around 12 midnight when the wedding party was over. She was informed by her Mom that their honeymoon will be held in the Maldives and they will stay there for a week. She said it was all expense by her father as a gift to them. She has never been to the Maldives and she knew it is one of the topmost honeymoon destinations in the world.
"My pad." He shortly replied as cold as ice.
"In your pad?" She parroted feeling puzzled.
"Sorry to burst your bubble wife but we don't have a honeymoon. We don't need it." That made her look at him and gave him a questioning look.

It was the weekend and she was surprised because her husband stayed at home. She wonders what has he eaten to make him stay at the pad today. When her mother-in-law called one time and asked her if she want to participate in Charity events she was helping with, she gladly agreed without hesitations. Helping doesn't only strengthens personal values, it also makes her feel good as a human being so she never slips an opportunity to help and volunteer whenever she gets a chance to.
