Chapter Fifty Three

Gwen.

The driver stopped at a restaurant, and Ryan opened the door for me.

“This way Gwen.” He held my hand as we walked into the familiar restaurant.

It was the same place we ate after meeting for the first time the day Henry drove me from his home.

“From the look on your face, I can tell you already know where we are?” My head was whisked to his side, he was smiling.

“I do.” I won’t forget how kind he was that day. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know what would have happened to me.

“Okay, so I did not bring you here to run down memory lane. I brought you here to have dinner with me because I saw how much you liked their food served here the other time and I have no reason to impress you.” He explained and all I did was nod.

We walked in and were offered a table, I noticed there weren’t many people in the restaurant. It was so late but they were still open. It was a good thing for those who don’t come home early, they can get a place to hit dinner instead of going to bed with a
