Nathalia was a man magnet. Everyone was watching her every move and was trying to get her attention. They wanted her attention, but her eyes were only trained on me.

I did not know why she kept on insisting on her feelings when there were others far better than me. Not all of the men in this bar were bastards. Some were rich.

Nathalia seeped her wine, not aware of the attention she was getting. Her eyes were always trained on me as if I was the most interesting person for her.

At the corner of my eye, someone on the other table was eyeing her.

I inhaled deeply.

Irritation kept on rising.

They ogled her and I did not like the annoyance brewing inside me. Why would I get annoyed at the way they stared at her? Wouldn't it be better for me that someone would catch her attention so that she would shift her attention to other men?

Relax, Hawk. This woman might be setting you up. See that satisfied expression on her face? She liked everything that you were giving her.
