118: Worried Sick

"Where could he be?" I asked for the nth time, referring to my bodyguard—Hawke. It was already eleven o'clock in the evening, and he was not here yet. It was seven o'clock when I found out my bodyguard was gone.

Since Cali did not bring his car, I was supposed to ask Hawk if he could drive Cali back when the rain stopped falling, but to my surprise, the man was nowhere to be found.

"Your bodyguard is not a child, Pumpkin. Don't worry about me. I can just stay here for another day."

Here I was, worried for Hawk's safety, but it seemed that Cali did not share my sentiments. He kept on pressing that there was nothing to worry about since Hawk could protect himself.

Cali did not know everything.

"No, you cannot," I muttered, turning him down. I could not afford to make him spend the night here or else, something might happen between us. And then, Cali might expect something else that I could not give at the moment. I haven't made a decision yet. "You're going home, Calcifer,"
