Truth or Dare

“Isn't that a game for adults?” Claus asked uninterested.

“Is there a children's version because we play it with mum and dad some of the time,” Nick answered.

Mia and Claus exchange glances. It can never be the same truth or dare games they used to play.

“Okay, let's have it then,” Mia said, fixing herself on a chair.

They all gathered in the living room, arranging themselves in a circle on the floor. The game began, with Claus volunteering to go first.

He pointed to Carol, who chose truth. The family asked her a lighthearted question about her favorite vacation spot, and she answered with a smile.

Then it was Mia's turn. She hesitated for a moment before deciding on truth as well, not wanting to reveal too much. The family asked her, "What's your favorite hobby?"

Mia's eyes darted briefly to Claus before she answered, "I enjoy painting and hiking."
