Sins Of The Past

I walked out of her room in defeat.

Again, she had succeeded in kicking me out of her life. I remember the blatant look in her eyes as she kicked me out.

I sighed and went back downstairs and stopped at the minibar. I poured myself a glass of wine. I could as well drown myself in solitude.

My phone suddenly rang. It was my secretary.

"Reynolds," I answered the call on the third ring.

"Thank God you answered sir. I'm worried about your company. The stocks are deteriorating. The sales are going down. There is chaos everywhere and some annoying reporters keep trying to question me," she complained on the phone.

Reynolds was a very competent Secretary. She always arranged my schedule in a way that I would not be exhausted after attending to each of them.

"I'm sorry but you have to find a solution yourself. I can't afford to show my face there. The reporters will attack me," I protested.
