Chapter Seven

Tasha's POV

The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, gently rousing me from my slumber. As I stretched and yawned, memories of the previous day's revelations flooded back, filling me with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

With a sigh, I sat up in bed and glanced at the silver necklace resting on my bedside table. Nana's words echoed in my mind, reminding me of the challenges that lay ahead. But I was determined to face them head-on, armed with the knowledge and strength passed down to me by my ancestors.

After getting ready for the day, I made my way downstairs to find Mrs. Esther already bustling about in the kitchen, preparing breakfast.

"Good morning, dear," she greeted me with a warm smile. "Did you sleep well?"

"Morning, Mrs. Esther," I replied, returning her smile. "Yes, I slept alright. Thanks."
