Chapter 52

DRAX'S POV

The nerve racking sound of helicopters and sirens clouded the air. The ground vibrated as many vehicles carrying heavy artillery roamed the surroundings outside in the streets.

There was a clear indication of unrest. The smell of looming danger permeated the air all around... It was on. This was it.

I had no idea what to do. Surrender or fight? Was it worth it?

If we fight, there is a great possibility that we might not make it to the next hour, because I'm sure all the soldiers must have been given direct instructions to shoot on sight. All the odds were against us. We were clearly outmatched and outnumbered.

I could hear the noise outside getting louder, as I perceived that more and more people were arriving the scene.

I looked at the girls, and I could see terror in their eyes as they probably said their last prayers in their minds.
