Alpha Ricardo's POV

A knock on my door woke me up from my sleep. With a grumble, I sat on the bed and rubbed my eyes with both hands. Throughout the night, I couldn't sleep after what happened between Mia and me, and just a few minutes later, when I was about to get some sleep, a knock woke me up.

''Who is it!'' I asked in a murmur, ''Jayson.'' Jayson responded from the door, causing a heavy sigh to leave my lips. ''Come in,'' I said and lay back on the bed.

The door opened, and Jayson walked in with a worried face. He closed the door, walked to my side of the bed, and looked a bit shocked when he saw my wound was healed.

''She healed you?'' He asked, and I responded with a nod. A sigh of relief left his lips as he noticed I was no longer in danger, but by the look on his face, I knew something was wrong.

''What is it?'' I asked while sitting on the bed. ''Lord Philip is here,'' He murmured, ''He is here?'' I asked to be sure and got a nod from him. ''Where is Mia?'' I asked in a pani
