Lucas and Gemma Chapter 1

Gemma pov

I waited for Lucas but got his dad instead and I almost collapsed hearing my mate is in a coma and has spinal damage. He may never walk but waking up may never happen either. I was awful to him before he left and I hate myself for it.

The next month is me juggling Jace and visits with Duke who still hasn't woke up. He is just laying there. I lay our son beside him and watch but nothing.

Doc Is convinced he will wake but I'm losing hope. Josh comes to visit but Claire is on strict bedrest due to her twin pregnancy. I haven't gone to see her I'm so upset when I'm not faking it I'm at home crying. Thank goodness Jace sleeps a lot because If not I would traumatize the poor kid.

"he looks good honey, doc says as I take a seat, Seems to be healing he just needs to wake up",I sigh. I hope he wakes because I'm struggling with our pup and these visits. Doc checks a few more things before leaving. I'm sitting there till Jace gets hungry and I leave so his crying doesn't affect Lucas.
