Kira's pov.

Tears gathered in my eyes, but I stopped struggling when I heard his puzzling question.

“You're shocked that I know about your identity, right?” Lucian asked, making me shake my head.

I was nervous, sweating so much due to the way he pinned my neck to the wall.

“Are you a spy?!” He yelled again, making me flinch, and In no time, I started to sob again because his hands pressed my neck tightly. I was used to being yelled out, but him being my mate made things worse for me. my fragile heart couldn't take his yells.

“Answer the fucking question, and stop sobbing. He’s your mate, and you're here to help him take over the pack, right? Deep down you want to go with him, right?” Lucian asked, but I only bursted into tears.

The way he treated me instantly made me regret staying here. I wished he wouldn't do this to me. I wished he would treat me like a normal person.

I knew I made a mistake by keeping the pregnancy from him, but I was just scared about the whole thing.
