Vanessa’s POV

“I don't mind Vanessa, I knew you were pregnant all along” Elijah replied almost immediately, I couldn't believe my ears when Elijah said those words. It was like a whirlwind of emotions swept through me at that moment. Surprise, confusion, and even a hint of skepticism. I mean, how could someone who barely knew me be so accepting and understanding?

“What!” I exclaimed I thought reminding him about my pregnancy would push him away, but instead, he was here telling me that he did not mind.

“I mean it Vanessa, there is something about you that keeps drawing me closer” he replied calmly. As he spoke, I couldn't shake off the nagging doubt that lingered in the back of my mind.
