Chapter 15: A long rescue

Selene's pov

Magnus was hardly moving, hell he was hardly breathing.

“It's the poison,” Gabriel whispered. “The venom of the succubus.” Although I was ignorant to what he meant I could see the truth in them. Long tendrils of green lines traveled through the entire contour of his skin.

Fuck what have I done? A sense of guilt rushed through me with violent force. All this, Magnus's and my father's wounds were because of my foolishness. I brought this woe on all of us.

If only I had stayed at home.
