Chapter 23: Awkward situations

Selene's pov

Guards stood in front of us, staring at our almost naked bodies.

“What are you kids doing?” One of them asked. I looked at Darius who quickly blurted out “Drugs.”

I had not expected that, was drugs all he could come up with?

“Drugs?” One of the guards asked confused.

Darius nodded his head vigorously, one would believe he was owning up to something good. “Yes drugs, we were doing weed.” He turned to me, “Right Selene?” He asked.

I wanted to wack him hard across the face. There was no way I was saying that and hence an awkward silence followed.

Darius began to feel uneasy and cleared his throat. “Right Selene?” He asked again looking at me before turning to the guard.

Fuck he was going to make me say it. The Guards were beginning to lose their patience and that would mean them walking into the house.

There was no other way around it. I shut my eyes tight and affirmed his words. “Yes, we were doing marijuana.”

I was going to kill him afterward.
