Chapter 27: Uprising

Ansari's pov.

The wind blew through my hair as I Walk through the almost emptying street. The wind was blowing through town with a vengeance and there was not a single soul in sight.

This was the worst possible time to call for a council meeting and it annoyed me greatly.

The wind picked up strength and soon I had to shield my face with my hands. I silently cursed Adolphus and his insensitivity.

The council hall stood desolate at the top of its hill, the sight of it sending shivers down my spine. For some weird reason, I could not comprehend the thought of going in filled me with dread.

“Welcome Luna.” The guards greeted me before moving aside to let me in. I smiled tiredly at them in response.

It had been three days since my grandson had aided in the escape of the hybrid child and the council had been extremely infuriated by our failure to catch them before they could escape.
