Chapter 79:Let me in, Magnus

Magnus's pov

"No more." I pleaded. "Please, no more."

"But why?" The evil voice asked.

"Do your actions shame you?"

"Enough!!!" I ordered, but he took hold of me.

Like he always did.

The car coughed and groaned, but the engine stayed dead. I turned to Gabriel anxiously.

"Gabriel, we have to ditch the car!"

He stubbornly shook his head. "No, don't worry about that; she's only sleepy." He said and patted the dash. "Right, baby?"

His words were beginning to annoy me; I turned to the windshield, and my breath got stuck in my throat.

The swarm of wolves coming our way would be here any second. Fuck, Ansari must have brought out every single wolf she had for four people.

"Gabriel, we need to leave," I pleaded. He paid no heed to me, tore out the wires, and began hot-wiring the jeep.

“Dad…" Selene called.

“Shouldn't we just leave the car?” Darius asked, and I turned to him simultaneously as Gabriel. "SHUT UP!!”
