Chapter 26 (Part II)

aEzra’s POV

A tall woman is standing in front of us. I looked at her, trying to remember if I’d seen her face before already.

It’s obvious that she’s already at age due to the wrinkles under her eyes and temples. However, the way she stands, walk, and move is full of grace that you wouldn’t think she’s aging at all.

With her straight back, shoulders broad, and head held up high, I can say that she’s the kind of woman that is well-respected. Her hands are clasped together as she walks towards us.

Laura and the servant bowed their heads at her, so I followed them.

When I lift my upper body and accidentally locked our eyes, I hitched. Her gaze looks casual and calm but at some point, I feel like I do not have the right to look at her. She's very intimidating even though she's not doing nor do I hear her say a word.

I blink my eyes uncontrollably and bite my lips inwardly. I did not notice that I am already staring a little too long at her.

"What is happening here?" she asked. Her eyes
