Vincenzo’s POV

The hospital's fluorescent lights cast a harsh glow over everything, making the sterile environment feel even colder. Annizah's pale face was etched with pain, her hand gripping mine as she was wheeled into the emergency room. I could feel my heart pounding, fear clawing at my insides. Our baby—our precious child—was in danger, and I felt utterly powerless.

As the doctors took over, I was pushed aside, left to pace the sterile, echoing hallways. My mind raced with a thousand thoughts, every one of them a plea for their safety. I could barely breathe, the weight of helplessness crushing me.

Hours felt like days, but finally, the doctor emerged, his expression grave. "Mr. Romanov, your wife is stable for now, but we'll need to monitor her closely. The next 24 hours are critical for both her and the baby."
