Cora’s POV

I can feel his hot breath as he moves closer and closer to me, “so you don’t have any care even if I kiss you now? whenever I do, it’s become useless because I don’t feel anything at all. Not anger or I can’t even make you feel awkward,”

I open my eyes and look at him straight, “what do you expect? A trembling hand, stuttered voice, and blushing face?” I scoff, “that won’t happen anymore.”

“I know, but still I can’t help but hope that you will look at me with the same emotion you have in the past. Is it wrong for me to think this way, when you are still the woman in here?” He points to his chest, "Even though your words are as sharp as a silver dagger, I can't stop wanting to hear your voice."

His tone is full of emotion as if he's expressing the truth of his feelings for me, but I can't let myself be swayed by this because I'm tired of expecting the impossible. Our world has always been different, so no matter what he says or does, it will not change the fact that we canno
