Suspicion.
Juma had a smug look on his face trying as hard to imitate what he was talking about. If the other students would have seen him, they would think that Stephany had bewitched their nerd.“Ew! That is so scary, people might escape and run away from us,” Stephany said in a more exaggerated expression.Juma looked at her for a longtime and the more she blushed the more his gaze intensified."That surely would be great, they would leave us alone," he said.…When seconds turned to minutes with silence and no lack of reaction from Stephany, Juma resorted to opening both of his eyes. He was met with a reminiscing expression from Stephany’s face and she had tears which were glistening on her eyes and with a blink, they would fall.He took in a long breath and pulled her closer in a deep bear hug. When she wrapped one of her arms around his waist, he chuckled.“You are quite a cry baby today huh! Mind you tell me?” He asked, rubbing her back like heBlame Game."Candy,"Stephany called, not answering Candy's question."Yes!" Candy answered."Don't you have that kind of feeling like something doesn't add up?" Stephany asked."My dearest big sister, all I feel and see nowadays is your bright eyes, flushing pink face and anxiousness whenever Namu is involved. I don't know if you have realized it yet," Candy started.Stephany did not stop her as she sat there listening. Candy was and could be said to be the only closest person to her that wasn't family. She knew Stephany even if she didn't know her real family, and so she thought, Candy knew why Stephany had to stay with her uncle and leave to stay independently in the city. And, whatever Candy was saying was true. She knows it was just that she hadn’t told her yet.“You might have loved Namu more than you thought and...it’s blinding you now. Your love for him did not diminish and your hate for him was because you missed him and he did not explain why he was away this long.""You loo
Dreams.Juma was sitting on the couch in the living room looking at his tablet. He had changed into his casual clothes, ocean blue sweatpants and light blue shirt that hugged his chest exposing his firm sturdy breast muscle that threw many body building models to the dust.He had gray house slippers and he sat crossed legged with a serious face. On his hand was a touch pen that he kept playing with between his fingers. On the other couch lay Stephany who also had changed into a black pair of sweatpants with a maroon baggy sweater top with a larger neck region exposing her shoulders and neck. The sweater top had long sleeves that covered her entire arm only exposing the tip of her fingers. She was browsing on her phone on the most active cases that lead to everything related to amnesia. From the search she could read many causes of amnesia and several ways to help someone with amnesia recover his or her memories. From the causes, she learned that the most cases are when someone is subj
Step One. Failed.Juma thought of his last dream that day. It was crazy but he felt like he was transported to the past!"I saw a slight shock on your face that time, I thought I was still dreaming but it seems like you will be helping me more than I thought," Juma seemed to have thought of something and said."I also thought I would use this chance to ask you the questions, and now that you're touching on the cause story, I have no choice than to proceed,"Stephany said in all honesty."Speaking of the school, I happen to know where it is. I-"When she was almost revealing that she also studied there, she intentionally stopped.Juma raised both of his brows in a 'looking forward to what you're saying' look. When Stella did not plan to continue, he seemed to lose control of his mouth asking,"You would love to take me there and be my tour guide?" He asked, totally misinterpreting her pause. When Juma started to speak, Stephany's heart hung on
With Author's greetingsStephany was startled by his sudden emergence. She didn’t know he would be joining her that quickly. His voice gentle with the cold breeze brushing through her hair.He wrapped his left arm around her neck. Her body trembled slightly at the cold touch from his cold arm.His right hand raffled her hair and he leaned his chin on her head."Your body is hot," He said.Stephany lifted her right hand and touched his arm that was wrapped around her neck."And yours is ice cold. How long have you been standing out here?"Stephany countered with a question of her own."Not long. I guess I am just cold,""That's your answer?""Mmh!"Stephany did not probe further. But, she furrowed her brows deeper as she seemed to be thinking deeply.Silence swept between them."What's-" the both of them started all at once. Their abrupt meet in speech brought a chuckle from both of them."You first" They blurted together once again.A sigh left Stephany's lips."Shall we play?" Juma t
The Tabloids. As always, Stephany woke up in time despite retiring to bed late the other night. After that sleep, she seemed energetic and had some laps on the treadmill down in the gym room. After a few laps of exercise, she decided to take care of other tasks before rushing for a shower. Since it was morning and chef Ali wasn't home that day, she went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.Stephany thought of her life. She was never someone who had the love for the kitchen while growing up. But, her mother and aunt would urge her to prepare breakfast. She was a quick learner too and that increased her laziness towards the kitchen duties. Especially when she felt her relationship with her mother was separated by a wider gap every single day that passed. She doesn't even remember if it was her or her mother that discouraged her from spending some time in the kitchen. All her siblings, who are all male, knew how to cook from as early as five years. The first tim
What they think. The day did not start as both had expected. They ended up quarreling even if they didn't want to."So, you clearly knew that I was bringing the company a problem with my scandal and you didn't feel like telling me?Does it mean that the meeting you scheduled this morning is to deal with the problem. And you wanted me to stay at home. The lack of communication means that you told them to block any information coming to me? This is ridiculous!"Stephany said. Juma was silenced but thankfully they were alone in the car. The entire journey proceeded in silence. When they reached the office underground parking, Stephany was the first to climb out of the car."See you back home!" That was her final word to Juma and he knew clearly what she meant. They were hardly going to see each other that day in the company and she was going to make sure of that.As she walked on, Juma's phone rang. Seeing the screen, what caught his attention was the ti
A Call From The Headquarters. After leaving Juma in the parking lot, Stephany went to the company through the normal employee lift as always.Everyone in the company was eyeing and gawking at her and she was sure that some of them had read or gotten a whiff of the rumor that had been plagued online.Like always, she did not bother about it as she rushed to her office. This time she wanted to dig into this information and learn who in the company is helping someone out there against her. When the clothes that she wore during the company’s launch were out, she didn’t have the reason to suspect anyone from the company. But, when the photo of her from the hotel the other day was released, editing out Juma like he didn’t exist at the time the photo was taken, she started to have some hunch on what was going on.Knowing Juma’s attitude, she didn’t divulge anything to him, giving the person a chance to get her reaction. The person had tried making her get out of her silence but she/he found
Mr. Chairman. When everyone heard what Juma said, they looked panicked except for Boniface and another man, dressed in a blue suit that was sitting next to the HR. Boniface had a smug look of gloat on his face. It seemed like he didn’t care the slightest bit of the hidden threat masked under Juma’s words. Also, he seemed like he had his own plan and that the plan had been successful and all he was waiting for was only his victory announcement. When Juma had turned his back to the department heads, the earlier mysteriously calm man was typing on his tablet again. Stephany watched him from the corner of her eyes and then turned only to be met by Juma’s gaze.Since he was seated and she was still standing by his side, Stephany was a little taken aback. Especially with the look he was giving her, like she was the only one in the room, with his right brow arched.Stephany hurriedly looked away only leading to the unseen smile on his serious face. Jeffa, who was going
