CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR

Only One Gaze.

When Stephany heard the nonchalant tone in Juma’s voice, she rolled her eyes and started up the stairs. If he was not going to bother telling her where Ali was, then she was not going to remain here anymore.

But, Juma had no plan of letting her escape as he walked hurriedly to her with an amused smirk on his face. He couldn’t thank the house slippers and the soft mat enough for muffling his steps.

He reached out for her with his muscular arm and pulled her to him from the stairs. She lost her footing and landed on his sturdy chest leaning on it with her back. He hugged him from the back after successfully achieving his goal of bringing her back to him.

His arms tied around her belly like he was hugging his pregnant wife.

Since he was only a few centimeters taller than her, he slightly lowered his head resting it on her right shoulder and said with a coaxing tone.
