Chapter 13

Amara

My head pounded heavily which had me tugging at my hair to try to relieve the pain somehow. It didn't help, but then again it made me focus on a different kind of pain. I was able to curl up my body and grip onto soft warm sheets that were covering my body.The bright lights that flooded in the room caused my eyes to squint even though they were already closed.

I moaned at the brightening pain and covered my entire face with the white fluffy duvet set breathing calmly into it trying to ease my splitting headache that caused my temples to pulsate.

"Amara?" I heard his voice appear from further away from the bed.

"Mmm" I groaned. My morning voice croaked as I felt my throat become very scratchy and dry. It pained to talk or to make any sort of sound at all.

I removed the blanket from my face and the light unwelcomely greeted my eyes causing me to squint even more than before.

"That bad huh?" His voice bellowed and chuckled viewing me in my agony of a hangover. My eyes scanned their
