Chapter 72

I cannot say I blame nurse Heidi for running away. She was facing jail time and her son was still missing. Maybe if she knew why I had to rush out of here so fast yesterday, she would have stuck around. I could not dwell on it though; I did not have the time. I needed to find out where her son was after all a promise is a promise. With each passing day Ruby seemed to be getting more unstable and at this point I would think she would be capable of doing anything, including killing the child.

I went and checked in on Emma before leaving to go see Kyle. She was looking rather well and that pleased me. I stayed for about a half hour before heading to Kyle’s hangout.
