Jason’s Pov

I couldn’t withhold the emotions that burnt within me. It felt as though my father was doing something wrong by talking to Kayla in such manner, even if he always did that. There was a change, a very obvious one.

When I couldn’t take it anymore, I blurted out and talked back to my father.

Ethan was the first to do that. But then, I never believed that I would be able to do such. My father looked up to me as the most respectful from the quad and so, I could understand the shock that settled in his eyes.

My brothers looked at me while I returned my gaze to Kayla who was in utmost shock.

“Did you just talk to me that way?” Our father asked as he turned to me, with a blazing eyes and unsteady breath.
