I MISSED YOU

It felt as if I’ve been away for years…as though I’ve been asleep for a very long time. I woke up and found myself on the hard ground of the forest and slowly, memories of all what happened started flowing in.

Kayla was looking at everyone of us, with a mixed expression she tried to conceal with her smiles.

I could tell that something was off, even if I couldn’t place my hands on what it was.

I knew I owed Kayla and apology and I was willing to give that to her as long as it would make her feel better.

Jason walked up to me some minutes after Kayla walked away and i ceased that opportunity to ask him about what happened.

“Can you explain everything?” I asked Jason who took in a deep breath and folded his hands to his chest. He had a small look of guilt on his face and from what I observed, he blamed himself for a majority of what had happened.

“Maybe, we shouldn’t have blamed Kayla for anything, even if we were so angry”, Jason started, prompting me to turn cold.
