LOSING HER

My heart raced as I stared at Kayla who wasn’t making any attempt to stop her quest to bring them back to consciousness.

I’ve never seen Kayla in so much pain and discomfort. She was bent on bringing them back even if she was losing herself in the process.

“Kayla, please, stop!” I mumbled under my breath as I blankly stared at her, without an idea of what next to do.

I sniffed hard when she continued muttering those her magical words that didn’t do anything other than make her nose blood.

Just then, she screamed in pain and landed on the ground, turning almost lifeless.

The world stopped and for a minute, I wished that I was only having a bad dream. I pinched myself hard and gulped down hard, wishing that she would get up and look at me.

Minutes passed and she remained there on the ground, almost lifeless…

“Kayla! Wake up!” I screamed as I rushed over to her, tapping her heavily and praying that she would stir.
