WINDOW AND THE BIRD

This morning was different from the others. I woke up feeling so dull and without the willingness to live.

Memories of last night flushed into my head and mere thoughts of how Jason treated me made my heart twist in pure hurt. It was clear that he hated me but was only trying to be nice, just because I was his mate.

The attitude he showed yesterday was a major indication of that.

A deep sigh escaped my lips as I opened my windows and listened to the chirping noises of the morning birds. I watched show they happily flew around and I couldn’t help but imagine what life would look like if I was free like a bird.

Birds didn’t have mates, not to talk of having four mates just like me. This was harder than I thought and deep down, I doubted that I would be able to tread on that path for a long time.

“Hi”, I said to the little bird that perched on my window. It could clearly see me, but rather than running away, it came closer.
