Chapter 20

"Ano, ate Marie? Ayaw pa rin ba? Hindi na naman siya kumain?" dinig ni Leila na tanong ng kanyang kapatid sa kalalabas lang na si ate Marie.

She didn't eat last night and even this morning. She has no appetite. When she's hungry, she goes out, it's just that her meal isn't at the right time. It's been four days since they got home here in Mallorca. And for those four days, she was only in her room. Ayaw niyang lumabas, nawawalan siya ng gana. Her grandparents found out what happened to her, how she ended up in the Philippines and what her father did to her. The only thing they didn't know was what Rouge did to her. She didn't have the courage to tell them about it and she was ashamed especially of herself.

Nagalit ang abuelo't abuela niya sa mga nalaman at gaya ng sabi ni Lara, tutulungan sila ng kanilang abuelo na maipakulong at sampahan ng kaso ang kanilang ama, na siyang pinag-utos na nito sa tauhan nito na nasa Pilipinas.

"Hindi raw siya gutom, senyorita," sagot ni Ate Marie rito
