BLAZE'S POV

The next day, I woke up feeling better and in a good mood. I smiled at Caramel who was still deep in her sleep. She looked like so cute that I could kiss her until eternity.

I decided to leave her room quietly as I wanted to make her a meal myself for a surprise. I didn't win the championship but I had won Caramel's heart and that was still a win for me. Her golden heart which was rare to find was now mine.

I got out of the room and walked down the stairs. As I got to the kitchen, I was startled by Rosa whom I didn't notice was in the kitchen.

"I'm sorry I startled you, Mr. Nightingale." She apologized, with a slight smile.

"Oh, it's fine."

As I disregarded that, I recalled that I had asked Rosa to leave when I needed to speak to Caramel. Certainly, she would have been worried about the outcome and could have wondered why we were no longer saying anything.
