Suspicious

Standing outside the broken door was the last person I expected to find. At least not with my regard for him. Gordon stood there with his eyes narrowed to slits.

“I knew there was something wrong with you from the first time you approached me,” he said as he took some steps towards us, his eyes focused solely on Claudia.

“Oh? What a pity.” She straightened, facing him. “Why then did you employ me?” She folded her arms, looking so at ease despite the darkness swirling in Gordon's eyes.

Though he was still in his human form, his fangs, and claws hidden, I could feel the ferocity of his presence.

“You can say I wanted to check you out.”

“Did I disappoint?” She asked in a mocking tone, her arms still folded, looking like one with no care in the entire world.

“No, you didn't.”

“Well, let's get this show on the road!” She knelt and brought out another dagger identical to the one was using on me.

I thought the fight would end quickly the moment Gordon raced towards her, but I was wrong.
