When the father isn't at home

When I heard Jayden's door open, I thought he was going to come over to my room, but he didn't. He strode past my room, and a few minutes later, I heard the start of a car.

Shocked, I rose from the bed and rushed to the window, to look out. Sure as hell, Jayden was leaving the compound. I left the window and raced out of my room, attempting to catch him before he left, but I was late.

Before I could make it downstairs, he had already left.

I stood at the door, wondering where he was going at this time of the night. It was a bit suspicious that he happened to leave a few minutes after his father did.

Could it be that he's following Gordon?

But that doesn't make any sense. Why would he wish to trail his father?

It's not as if something is going on that I don't know about.
