CHAPTER TWENTY: KARMA VISITS

KATIE’S POV

“Mother!” the voice chirped, and I didn’t know how it made me feel.

I turned around to see that it was Hunter. He just called me ‘mother’. He noticed my discomfort.

“ Can I call you that? Since I don’t have a mother anymore, you’re like my mother, right?” He frowned a bit and had a sad expression.

“Would your Mother fuck your brother?” I wanted to say, but I don’t.

I could tell how messy things had just gotten because of my inability to say no to Blaize. Regaining my composure, I forced on a bright smile.

“Of course, you can call me that, darling. I’m glad you see me worthy of being one.” I informed him and watched his eyes light up.
