The Unexpected

Someone was calling as Edward found his gadget ringing.

“Boss, could you come over to the office today?” Bernard was calling.

Edward puffed and unplugged his computer.

“What’s happening?”

He made his voice lower.

He heard a deep sigh from there, he could sense that Bernard was facing something important that needed Edward’s involvement physically there.

“About your Grandpa, Boss!”

Edward sneaked out from the room where he was absorbed of working on some paperwork. He saw Elena was watching something on television. He remembered they should go to the clinic and visited Fortune, a puddle dog that he saved.

“Is Curtis there?” Edward continued asking. He heard Bernard long inhaled.

“Yes, Mr. Edward. I’ve asked him to wait in the lounge room for guests.” There was a pause.

Edward sighed. He understood what possibly happened there.
