Hiii Favour here, author of My Unlovable Boss. I'm sure you already know that. I don't know why I feel the need to announce myself like that all the time.
Anywho, I want to say a big big thank you to everyone who has given my story a chance. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. Whether it's hundred, fifty, twenty, ten, five or even one of you reading my story it brings me happiness."Wow, someone out there actually likes the story I created, my characters and basically what runs through my mind."This story started as a hobby, a way to keep myself busy and stress relief. To think that it would grow from a mindless activity to something more truly amazes me. The characters have grown on me and I want to do my best to give them a story they deserve.I am still learning, I'll make mistakes and I'm sure five years from now I would even think "this could have been so much better" because I tend to be hard on myself. Until then, however, I am proud of what I have achieved thus far.My Unlovable Boss has been going strong so far but I am a student and have a lot doing in real life, pushing forward, I will be making weekly updates to the story. New chapter every Wednesday by 12pm WAT, 7am EST, 11am UTC and 7pm SGT.Thank you for supporting and I can't wait to see you next chapter!Ki La Di.Ji Won’s POV.“I should have a drink.”That sole thought brought me to the front of a small old building in a dark alley with the moon as it’s only source of light. The name sign was almost off its hinges, its name ‘Ki La Di’ was barely recognizable.“This must be the place,” I muttered to myself as I opened the door. The smell of smoke greeted me the moment I walked into the dimly lit room. I squinted my eyes to adjust to the poor lighting. Low music played in the background and there were about four customers scattered around the place.Three were seated at a round table, the other sat on the barstool with the bartender. The men at the ro
Jung Group HQ.Ae Ra’s POV.Baek Jin has been too busy handling the rumours about CEO Jung being a tyrant boss who sexually assaulted his workers and had power trips. He hasn’t been to work either leaving me all alone in the office which gave me too much time to overthink. It’s been two days since I’ve last seen CEO Jung. We’ve worked with each other for two months now and I’ve gotten to see different sides of him but nothing could have ever prepared me for that night. When I received that call and caught the first taxi that came to view I wasn’t sure what I expected to see but I knew I wanted to see him.And I did.In a way that had never once crossed my mind.
Lie Blu’s Apartment.Ae Ra’s POV.Chairman Jung… he’s been a bit different since the day that false news came out. Perhaps that’s what happens when you have a countdown to how long you have left to live hovering above your head. I stared at my reflection in the elevator glass. How much would I change if I was terminally ill? Would I be more honest with myself or would I be even more pretentious than I already was? Would I stand up for myself like people ask me to or would I be nicer and take everything life throws at me or worse… would I quit my job and go haywire?I sighed as the elevator door opened and my apartment floor came into view. Now that I’m unemployed, what can I do to occupy my time?A familiar silhouette was seated on the floor in front of my door. He wa
St. Mary’s Cathedral.Ae Ra’s POV.As I stood in the queue, the huge bald security guard in an all-black suit paid no attention to me while his slightly smaller colleague checked the guests' invitations. I was worried that someone might recognize me, so I covered my face with my hand. Although the rumours had died down, I didn't want to take any chances. For the occasion, I opted for a curly pinned bun, which made my face more visible. It was CEO Jung's recommendation, and it complemented my baby blue cottage core dress and bow-tied collar white blouse. Matching baby blue platform pumps, and minimal makeup. I completed the look with pearl earrings and a gold bracelet.Suddenly, someone bumped into me, and I hid my face even more while accepting their apology. I didn't want to risk being seen, as Ch
Author's Note.Hello dear reader, Favour here, the author of My Unlovable Boss. I'd like to start by thanking every single one of you who gave my story a chance. It means the world to me to know there are people out there who read my story. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing and more. Feedback, likes, comments, shares and story ratings are very much appreciated! I'd love to read your thoughts and communicate with you all through comments so don't be shy. I am quite eager to interact with you all! I have been on a year hiatus and in my time away a lot happened that forced me to put the story on hold but I am happy to share the news of my return with you all. I can't wait to release new chapters and complete the story as well, it's about time after all. I will be making a few changes such as the names of the characters (save for the Main Female Lead) and the location of the story. There are many new chapters included in the start as well and a lot of grammatical e
Lie Blu’s Apartment. Third Person.“What would it take to convince you to go out with me?!” Ha Na groaned as she watched her best friend, Ae Ra, tirelessly type away at her computer. Her long light-brown hair was tucked behind her ears and big round glasses rested on her straight nose covering half of her small heart face. Her round pink lips were tucked into her mouth in concentration, her doe brown eyes trained on the MacBook as she ignored her friend. She was dressed in a pair of matching white joggers and had a froggo headband seated cross-legged on the wooden floor “Earth to Ae Ra? Do you hear me?!” Ha Na waved her arms in an attempt to gain her friend’s attention. She’s been at it since she arrived and knew she wouldn’t budge from that spot all weekend if she didn’t intervene.“I’m sure we can go some other day,” Ae Ra replied, not taking her eyes off her Macbook. She loved spending time with her best friend, Ha Na, but she had work to do and a bigger part of her didn’t feel li
Lie Blu’s Apartment.Ae Ra’s POV.Regret has always been inevitable, at some point in our lives we get hit with it and right now I’ve been hit with a heavy dose of it. I grabbed my head gently with a raspy cry. I could feel my veins pulsing and throbbing, it felt like my head was going to explode. The sunlight that streamed in through my curtains did nothing to help. My stomach had a painful and burning sensation gnawing at me and my throat was dry as the Sahara desert begging for water. I moaned in pain as I curled into a ball, my body ached starting from my waist up to my neck. What happened last night? Why can’t I remember anything? After what felt like hours of rolling around, I forced myself out of bed. If my body hurts this much, I must have gone overboard drinking with Ha Na. Something must have possessed me to get wasted because I only have blackouts when I get wasted.I dragged myself to the bathroom wincing and hissing from how unnaturally bright my pink room was. Jung Group HQ.Third Person.Ae Ra adjusted the Chairman’s tie and gave him a quick look over. His calm grey eyes stared straight ahead of her as he patiently waited for her go-ahead signal. His greying hair was neatly combed back save for a few strands, which she quickly adjusted.Despite wearing a stern look, he had laugh lines deeply etched on his handsome face, which showed he lived a life filled with genuine laughter. He was dressed in a tailor-made black tuxedo that hugged his frame perfectly. She smiled in admiration as she took a step back. “You are all set, Chairman Jung.” She gave a little thumbs up with a toothy smile. With a deep exhale, Chairman Jung boldly walked into the room with his secretary, Ae Ra, hot on his tail. The executives and shareholders stood up in unison to greet him. She quickly took her place, standing just five paces behind him.“I’m glad everyone could attend the meeting despite it being impromptu.” Chairman Jung greeted them as he sat. The board foll
