Grace watched Mr. Slade from high above at the docks. She hanged on to the roof. Mr. Slade was packing. He seemed to be in a hurry.
"Simple instructions, what's so hard in it" Grace jumped down on a table beside Mr. Slade.
Mr. Slade was stunned to see her suddenly. He gasped for breath. Grace looked at the bags packed around.
"Looks like someone is going on a trip" she pushed the bags lightly to feel their weight. "This is quite heavy for a journey to go spend some few days unless you have planned not to come back soon or forever" Grace traced her hands on the table which she sat on.
"You can not scare me. I am not afraid of you" Mr. Slade panted. He breathed heavily with sighs.
"You are not getting what this is all about. It isn't to scare you or put you in jeopardy which you are in right now. It is about settling unpaid debts. You committed a crime and should face your punishment" Grace shouted and kicked the bags furiously.
"So you are pl
The guy smiled as he saw Mayor Mount in front of him. He seemed very happy. Mayor Mount was confused. He had no reason to be happy. It wasn't like he came here to release him.Mayor Mount turned swiftly to see if Reyes was seeing what he was seeing. Reyes shook his head and smiled too.It was funny to see an incarcerated person smiling like this."What makes you so happy, Mr..... What's your name?" Mayor Mount managed to say. He was expecting him to be hostile and unfriendly. But here he was, his face beaming with smiles."Why I am happy?" he asked Mayor Mount. "I just feel happy realizing we ended up in the same place" he continued his smiles endlessly."So,what's your name?" Mayor Mount asked with only a bit of hope that he would say it."Kerry" he replied curtly."Mr. Kerry. I and you didn't end up in the same place. I came here to ask you some few things" Mayor Mount went straight to the purpose of his visit. He woul
"Mom, I'm sorry. It didn't went as I planned it. He committed suicide. I failed you. You would have wanted him to face the judgement for what he did. But I'm sure he will be forever remembered as the murderer he was" Grace said standing on her mother's grave. She haf come to give the account of her last mission as always. She was not very satisfied with the way her last meeting with Mr. Slade went."I will make sure something like this never happen again. Just trust me. You have to trust me, mom" she gasped. "Mom, I miss you. Nothing would have been sweeter than you in your human rights mode flanked by my zombie character, I am now a zombie fighter. They call me city hunter since I have started completing your targets" she wiped a tear that drop from her eyes."Over ten years, I'm still shedding tears. I guess I can never get used to it" she felt like someone was coming towards her from behind. She crouched immediately stretching one of her legs backward.
Grace had crept into the house. He hanged her all fours to the roof looking down on Gilbert Joel drinking an exotic whiskey. She proceeded further to be right on top of him. Gilbert raised up a finger without looking up. Grace's heart skipped a beat. She thought she has been made. That would be very bad right now. With her being a highly profiled wanted individual.Though she had become a better soldier even without taking the vaccine. But for speed, strength, she still needed taking it for those and a lot of things.Gilbert raised his finger up again and shook it like a warning sign. He didn't look up and continued with his whiskey.Grace had just been spooked for nothing. Gilbert didn't know she was there. He was just enjoying his whiskey to the core or the skull. She continued moving forward to drop right where he would be surprised the most. The element of surprise was enough to hold his mind in confusion to get the enough time to deliver her me
"Will you be patient or blew off the house?" Raymond put down the TV remote in his hand and went over to the door.Someone had been ringing the doorbell incessantly. That person was not very patient.Raymond opened the door."Mrs. Flinch!" Raymond was a little bit surprised. It was their neighbour, Mrs. Flinch. He didn't know that she could be so surly with a doorbell."Hi, is Grace in? I want to check if...." she had a big book in her hand which she was busy looking at while talking."Come on in, she has been waiting for you" Raymond cut in. He couldn't afford listening to her stories. He led the way while Mrs. Flinch followed him closely."Have your seat" he pointed to a sofa while he climbed up the stairs. Grace just went up not so long ago."Mrs. Flinch is here" he said on entering the room without seeing Grace. He expected her to be in the wardrobe closet.Getting no replies after few minutes. He dashed over to the
Grace peeped to see where her blood might have stained. She didn't see anything. How could it have disappeared just now? She looked at her leg again. Of course, that wasn't a bullet. A bullet would never be that long but she knew nothing about bullets.A giant stylishly made syringe hanged on her leg. She could move the leg now. She was not hit by a bullet. It was a syringe that had released some kind of serum in her body. She removed it from her body. She read the inscription, she didn't know what that meant but she was sure it was to make her sleep. Her eyes were closing. She started feeling dizzy but that didn't stop her ear from getting blast by the siren of the cops that had arrived to the building. She leaped weakly into one of the rooms, she made her way into the restroom therein. She jumped out through the window and dropped on a lower building beside Gilbert's house."I will not sleep,I will not sleep" she chanted as she rolled on the roof
"So all this that you have struck out are completed missions" Raymond looked through a small book in his hand. That was Emily's list of people Grace had been hunting. He walked closer to Grace to show the book to her."So this is your next target, our next target" he opened to another page of the book."No. this is our next target" Grace took the book from his hand and put it on the table. She showed him a giant syringe."What is this?" Raymond had never seen anything like this before. He took it from her and examined it closely. "Is this not a syringe?""It is" Grace replied immediately. "I have to find out who this is and know why he was after me" she collected the syringe back. She went back to the table. There was a laptop she had been working on."So, I guess his name is not in the book" Raymond asked joining her at the table. He grabbed the book again and was checking it."I will advise you not to look pass the next page" she sh
"You will just walk into the store with this in your pocket and just walk into the store" Grace handed him a chip. Raymond parked the car right opposite the store they were coming to."What's this?" Raymond took it from her. He kept examining it as always."Put it in your pocket. It is a jammer" she said furiously. She was angered by his unnecessary questioning."So what will I do after that?" he pocketed the chip and stared at Grace in the eyes."Nothing. You will shop for fifteen minutes and come back here" she explained briefly."And we will go home?" he was sure that wasn't the plan she had. He wanted her to tell him everything. "What about the surveillance camera log?" he reminded her."I will take care of that" she looked away from him to avoid more questions. They should have started the time countdown by now. He was just slowing her down."If all I will do is shop, then what am I?" he definitely didn't like the role she had gi
Grace was busy watching the camera feeds. She had watched it over and over. She didn't see anything or anyone suspicious. All the while, Raymond didn't give her any attention. She knew but she wasn't bothered."When you are through with your thing, you can join me in my own thing" Raymond raised up two glasses when she looked back at him. That was sudden and unexpected. He was all over her trying to get looped in but right now. It was like he had lost all interest. Her eyes caught the duration of the feeds. It seemed it had skipped like ten minutes. She just looked back for like a second. That was strange. She backed the feeds and let it played over again."What, the, hell?" she said slowly. Some parts of the feed was missing. It was like twenty minutes of it had been deleted. The feed jumped from twelve minutes past one to twenty two minutes past one."Where did you see hell?" Raymond asked clearing his throat."I'm sorry. It just ha
