Chapter 41.Coward

Ella whizzed past dilapidated building, the scent getting stronger as she neared the open road. There were trees on either side of her now.

They stood tall and the shadows cast over her made her shiver inside.

She kept on following her nose and soon the stench had become unbearable.

She parked her bike at the side of the dirt road as she exited of the tar. Gathering a few branches , she hid her bike before slowly making her way into the woods.

She walked slowly and carefully, making sure not to step on any fallen twigs. She did not want to alert Judy that she was here.

As the smell got closer, Ella hid behind a tree. There were also others coming. She could not tell who it was, so she crept a little closer to the gathering.

"Tomorrow is the blood red moon!" She heard someone saying," one sacrifice can make all you problems disappear or your dreams come true."

"Blood moon?" Ella thought this sounded familiar. She had heard this before.
