Chapter 16

“What the fuck!!” Someone screeched loudly and that too so early in the morning. It felt like a bucket of ice water was poured on me.

I jolted up right from sleep, eyes darting around to see what has made the unbearable noise only to find Lola standing at the edge of the bed, face red, eyes darting back and forth between Jake and I who by the way was also awake because of Lola. I groaned internally, wondering why I had to go through this madness so early in the morning.

“What are you even doing in my room, Lola?” Jake growled, getting up from the bed angrily, stomping towards Lola who stood at the edge of the bed, a mug of tea or coffee in her hands. Eyes clouded with tears almost immediately. Lips jutted out, quivering with fear or sadness, I don’t know.

“Y-you can’t do this to me, Jake! I refuse to allow this happen. You won’t do this to me.” She yelled on top of her voice, Jake gripped her arm, pushing her out of the room. I could hear her curse but really couldn’t care.
