CHAPTER SIXTEEN

After alighting from the bus as we got to the hospital gate the bus driver was about giving us the change because I bought for I and chioma giving him a one thousand naira note. He was supposed to give us two hundred naira but he gave us hundred saying he had no change.

I was about leaving it for him but chioma insisted saying she knew the man he was fond of doing that. She said he always pretended not to have change to give passengers inorder to take all the money and vowed to collect it.

"I am not leaving that money for that man even if it's ten naira" she said hands akimbo.

"What's fifty naira that you want to embarrass me like this? I asked because I know it would cause a little scene, those bus drivers were something else.

"No it's not about the money o, he does that almost every day. Turning to the man she added 'oga please give us our change'.
