CHAPTER TWO
It was not until the next morning that my roommates returned to the room and I was busy arranging my corner. I had intended to arrange it and put everything in order the previous day but tiredness had gotten the better of me. I had even slept of and forgotten to eat and had woken up not until 9pm the next day. I looked up from the stuff I was doing as soon as they entered the room, Ashley was a real mess, her hairs were tangled and her eyes red."Good morning o" I greeted them."If u see how Ashley embarrassed me yesterday, she was claiming she could talk a lot of alcohol without getting high, so they dared her in the party yesterday, and guess what, she started talking rubbish and throwing up" bolu said laughing loudly and sarcastically. What was I supposed to say, how was I supposed to react to this, these girls were something else, I would never go to a night party and sleep over my dad would kill me if he found out, i said to myself."Ohh really, not ev

CHAPTER THREE
It was Monday morning and I had class by eight thirty, I immediately picked up my tooth brush, brushed my teeth and dressed up hurriedly. I didn't want to be late for my first class that I even forgot to eat. I was late already because it was already few minutes to nine. My roommates were still on bed when I left the room. I was walking very fast towards my faculty I accidentally bumped into a girl. 'watch it' she yelled furiously before I could even apologize. As I got into the Hall we were to have the lecture, it was so jam-packed and hot, and most of the fans were not working. Some of the chairs were even broken and the lecturer was not yet in class. "The lecturer must surely use a public address system unless we won't hear a thing" I muttered to the girl sitting close to me and she only nodded. I looked around and noticed that the hall was too small for the number of people in it and other students were still trooping in. People that came after some minutes ha

CHAPTER FOUR
I around the room for the first time and I noticed it was very spacious it reminded me of the room I shared with my siblings back at home. I wondered why he lived in a two or possibly three bedroom flat alone. He had picture frames of himself placed on the walls of the room. I took one of them which included an older woman which looked like him, it would probably be his mom I thought. The frame mistakenly slipped from my hand , fell and has a little crack. Before I could pick it up Daniel was already in d room, he picked it up and placed it where it was."I'm sorry" I said shyly."It's okay dear, good morning, hope you had a wonderful night rest" he replied taking my hand."Of course" I said. The memory of last night flooded my thoughts and I blushed. " I...emm, I prepared something you would eat before going back this morning, hope you don't mind? He asked."I'm not hungry, but I wouldn't want to waste your effort either" I said smiling at him."Awwn, I'm very greatful milady

CHAPTER FIVE
Saturday's were my best days in a week. Back at home I usually do the laundry and clean up every Saturday with my siblings, but here in school it was kind of different because I actually do it almost every day. Even though it was usually a hectic day for me I usually loved it 'cos there was still time to rest in the evening after all the work and I usually watched my favourite tv programme after doing all the chores. I loved Saturdays because it was the day I always had time to spend with my family apart from Sundays, Sundays were different because before we go to service and return and start receiving visitors time would have already elapsed and my parents would be too busy for us. I always wanted my parents time and attention especially my mom but as I clocked sixteen I cared little of how much time they spent with us.Today was like every other Saturdays and I couldn't help but be glad that I had no lecture to attend because it was always a lecture free day. I woke up, did the

CHAPTER SIX
My eyes were so heavy and I just wanted nothing but to sprawl on a bed and sleep heavily. Daniel was taking as he held me on my waist but I could barely hear what he was saying, I didn't understand a word he said but he was obviously scolding me. I felt like I was floating on the hair as he carried me. The last thing I could remember was him laying me on the bed then I drifted to sleep. She looked so adorable when she slept, Daniel thought aloud petting her on the cheek. He stood up removed her heels and kept it. He stood up to go and his himself when he heard his name."Daaniel? He liked the way she said his name, the way she dragged it sweetly,"Yes dear, I thought you were asleep" he said going back to the bed and sitting by her side. She held out her hand and brought it to his lips. "Don't go away kiss me, muah" she said lifting her head, and he did. Her lips was so soft, she tasted of alcohol. She pulled on his shirt and fumbling with it and he knew she wanted it out so he did

I woke up feeling so happy and blessed like someone who just won a lottery. The weather was very cold. I stretched my hand to put off the fan that was blowing 'cos It looked like i was going to catch cold.Looking around the room I noticed that bolu and Ashley were gone, their beds were empty and neatly arranged.I stepped out of the my bed. I hadn't seen my bunky since I came back. I noticed she had put a wrapper round her corner like a curtain, so you couldn't see who was inside. I didn't know if I'd be invading her privacy by raising the curtain to check if she was around. but on a second thought we've been very close these few months so it wouldn't is really matter. I went on in raising the curtain or would I say wrapper, but I was shocked on what I saw. She was not alone on the bed, some other girl was there with and the abruptly stopped what they were doing when they saw. We stared back at each other in shock without saying a word and when I could finally get my voice back I m

CHAPTER EIGHT
"An old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are mentioned in a proverb, Mirabels father said banging the table. "I never said you are wayward, I only said that's what wayward girls do in school. If your conscience is pricking you, then my dear something must be wrong with you" he said eyeing prisca, she was his first daughter. He was always fond of using proverbs whenever he wanted to prove a point. They never seemed to get along in anything. It was not as if prisca was stubborn or disrespectful, she was rather strong willed, and since she turned eighteen she had seemed to become bolder which only infuriated her dad who likes keeping everyone under control, including his wife, she was not exceptional, everyone always ran along at his command. It was only prisca his first daughter and his only son that answered him back but on rare occasion and didn't always end well. He never failed to tell them how woe betides anyone who curse his or her parents. It was a hot afternoon on a Sat

CHAPTER NINE
"Get that dirty pot out of this room, will you? Chioma yelled at boolu. I looked up from the book I was reading as boolu stood up reluctantly from the bed. Boolu was not a very neat person. She left the pot she cooked with, with some leftover food inside unwashed for almost a week until it started to stink of rottenness and she was fond of doing that. Perhaps she loved the smell of dirt thought in amusement, like my sis at home who loved the smell of diesel, or she was just lazy.Chioma and I had not been very friendly after the minor incident, or would I say she has been avoiding me. We had been close before when she found out I was from eastern part of the country just like her until then."Sorry guys, I actually thought I washed it yesterday, Ashley don't look at me like that please" boolu said rolling her eyes." That's a lie, you always do that, you are fond of doing it, it's not the first time, and it's not that you forgot" said Ashley. 'Hope you studied home economics in prim

CHAPTER TEN
Immediately after the call I went to the bathroom to take my bath, dressed quickly after I got into the room, before then I had already booked Uber. There was no traffic on the road and I got there fast. As I stepped into the compound and walked towards my boyfriend's flat, I saw two girls staring at me and whispering. The compound was very large and comprised of three different buildings and numerous flats. I ignored them, as I got to the door I knocked. There was no response so I knocked twice again.Someone opened the door, fair and tall, and it was not Daniel. It was a lady, she stared at me in a manner I didn't like. It took every strength in me not shove her away and get into the house. "Is Daniel around? I finally asked."Yes..." Before she could utter another word Daniel was already behind her, maybe coming towards the door, maybe because she wasted more time in checking who was at the door. His expression was like he was very surprised to see me, of course I didn't tell hi
