It's too late

Charlotte's POV

"No, I won't do that."

"Yes, you will. I know you're young, and you've failed to understand that you can't run away from fate. It's your destiny to be a Luna."

"Stop telling me that; you don't know anything about my destiny," I argued, and she turned away from me.

She stood up from the floor and walked over to the door. I thought she was about to leave, but instead, she peeked outside, before she closed the door and walked back into the room.

"Luna, please lay on the bed, someone is coming," she said hastily, and I immediately stood up from the floor and laid on the bed.

I hadn't even laid properly on the bed before two of the guards appeared in front of the door.

Their cold eyes scanned us and the room we were in.

After standing there for a long while, I released the air that I didn't even know I was holding after they left.
