Chapter 45 Waiting for the Inevitable

"Ms. Shepherd, there are a few matters I'd like to discuss with you," Wade said respectfully.

"What's this about?" Natalie's confusion deepened.

"It concerns the day of your accident. So, is there any pertinent information or clues you can share with me?"

He probed into the incident. He had to extract potential leads from her since there was no starting point.

A question surfaced in her mind: Why would Wade suddenly ask about the day of the accident?

Suddenly, a peculiar emotion stirred within her.

"Did Henry instruct you to investigate this?" she inquired.

"Yes, he mentioned we must get to the bottom of this," Wade replied truthfully.

Natalie couldn't help but frown. She found it hard to believe that Henry would be genuinely concerned about this matter.

Something like this, she thought, wouldn't be worth his attention.

"Ms. Shepherd?" Wade didn't receive a response for a while and tentatively called out.

"I remember the other party's license plate number. It's KJ1026," s
