The week took too long to go by for Nandini's liking, mainly because of her boss's cranky attitude. He seemed irritated with everything and anything the whole week and she knew pretty well none was his fault. Those were just the side effects of being the victim of mind control. Nandini had been barely hanging in the presence of Manik with the help of her substitute tablets but now that all her tablets had been confiscated she didn't know what to do. She had been so used to relying on her high dose tablets that the normal doses seemed to have no effect on her, not even when she had chugged down three tablets in one glass of water which wasn't exactly considered a good thing to do and now she had been regretting it as the tablets effect had started kicking in. Skyler was dead tired by the time he reached the square. The day had been nothing but a train wreck. He had forgotten to refill his substitute tablets and he had eaten nothing since the morning. Moreover, he was called in to attend a case briefing meeting with the senior officers and he was handed over a missing person case which wasn't even supposed to be dealt with by him in the first place. Nandini rushed through the lobby of the intimidating building, adjusting her sleeves. She was late on her first day of work and she was so sure either she would get scolded or worse fired. Both the thoughts made her tensed. She had set her alarm clock for six in the morning and slept early the night before just so that she could manage to wake up early but even after trying so hard, her eyes betrayed her this morning too. Nandini heaved a sigh of relief as she walked out of the office building. She had been running around the whole day from one department to another. She was sure if not for her perks as a vampire, she would have fainted. More than that she had a hard time controlling herself from pouncing onto him. The thought of wanting to suck his blood had passed through her mind countless of times and controlling her inner instincts made her more tired. "Miss Taylor get me this. Miss Taylor get me that." She mimicked his lines and sighed irritatedly, "For god sake I have a name. He can just call me Nandini and I would be fine with it."
