Skyler was dead tired by the time he reached the square. The day had been nothing but a train wreck. He had forgotten to refill his substitute tablets and he had eaten nothing since the morning. Nandini rushed through the lobby of the intimidating building, adjusting her sleeves. She was late on her first day of work and she was so sure either she would get scolded or worse fired. Both the thoughts made her tensed. She had set her alarm clock for six in the morning and slept early the night before just so that she could manage to wake up early but even after trying so hard, her eyes betrayed her this morning too. Nandini heaved a sigh of relief as she walked out of the office building. She had been running around the whole day from one department to another. She was sure if not for her perks as a vampire, she would have fainted. More than that she had a hard time controlling herself from pouncing onto him. The thought of wanting to suck his blood had passed through her mind countless of times and controlling her inner instincts made her more tired. "Miss Taylor get me this. Miss Taylor get me that." She mimicked his lines and sighed irritatedly, "For god sake I have a name. He can just call me Nandini and I would be fine with it." Right then the scent of fresh blood hit her nostrils and she could feel herself longing to taste it. "Not-" she breathed in the enthralling scent. "not again." She failed to control herself. Her feet took her nearer to the scent. Blood. Fresh blood. Her subconscious mind chanted. "Miss Taylor what are you doing here?" Manik asked as he saw her nearing towards him.

Nandini could feel her self control giving in to her desire of sucking his blood. Frustrated, she covered her mouth and nose with her right hand, trying hard to block his scent but it did nothing. Nandini had never felt any sort of craving for sucking human blood. The tablets had been acting as a great remedy and she thought she would be absolutely fine living amidst humans but now after meeting Manik, she was having second thoughts. His blood had this strong sweet scent and it made her lose her calm. Even the tablets she took could only calm her down to some extent for maximum three hours. The more time she spent with him, briefing and arranging his schedule and accompanying him to meetings, the more her desire got stronger and that was what scared her. Nandini jumped out of bed after checking the wall clock. It was 8:40 am and she had to report in the office by 9:00 am. She quickly freshened up before changing into anything she got in her closet. She couldn't take the risk of skipping her breakfast as it would only contribute in triggering her desire for blood, specifically his blood. So she hurriedly heated the leftovers from last night. After she was done eating, she placed the dishes on the sink and hastily tossed a tablet into her mouth. Sighing, she glanced at the clock only to slump on the ground. An hour laterNandini had been sitting on the sand while she looked at the rising and falling waves of the ocean. The sky was blue with minimal clouds and the sun shone brightly. There were people sun bathing, children trying to make sandcastles, some people were even swimming and surfing. The place gave off a fun vibe. Three days later"Finally my precious Sunday has arrived." Nandini smiled as she over dramatically threw herself on her bed. "I can sleep till late in the morning. Oh my precious sleep!" She remembered that she had to make a stronger dose of those capsules of hers.
