CHAPTER 16

A knock was heard on the door just at that moment, disrupting Adrian's thought. He paused for a few seconds, wondering who it could be. He rolled his eyes with Indifference, shrugging his shoulders as well.

"I'm definitely hallucinating things," he thought. The knock came again and this time, he couldn't help but rise to his feet.

"And who's there?" His voice was thick and filled with upset. The last thing he wanted was disturbance from anyone, most especially from Aria. He pulled the doorknob at once, "what do you…" he stopped abruptly.

"Good day sir." A voice greeted him. It wasn't Aria as he thought. Running his hands through his head, he felt a surge of guilty sitters through him.

"Good morning Mrs. Evans." His voice was husk and rather unfriendly..

"Good morning sir. I'm sorry to bother you but are you perhaps busy sir?" He was confused and found her question weird.

His creased brows, "No, I'm not so busy. Why do you ask?"
