Chapter 28: Obviously, It’s Not Me You Love

Isabelle’s Point of View:

I was standing in front of my old house. Taking a deep breath, I walked toward the door and to my shock: it was indeed locked from inside. More so, I saw mom’s car in the backyard. She was definitely here, but why?

Also, why wasn’t she picking up my calls? Why did she change her number? I was pretty sure she knew that I would know about her divorce no matter where I was. She didn’t even left me any messages before changing it.

Well, I would probably know everything if I would just open the door and ask her. No matter what happened, I was pretty sure that she still loved me the same. I didn’t ever know what she thought of me and my behaviour in the last years while she was married to Mr Roman due to the same reasons — she became very quiet — but there was nothing I did that would make her not love me. I was her only daughter and she had loved me, in her own way. Even if she didn’t show it very often.
