Chapter 3-Fate

Kyra's POV

Two days rolled by pretty fast and I began to hate myself. The party was lush and the guests were not only the Alpha of Blood Fang pack but other packs as well.

My legs began to ache. I had spent the whole day walking around with drinks on a tray and I hadn't had the time to take a break or even sit down.

Alpha Draco's guests were all the same: arrogant and toxic like him. I saw the stares that they gave me as I brought the drinks. Some even refused to take drinks from me. I could hear ridicule every where I went, I felt heart broken.

"... disgusting creature!"

"... dirty omega blood."

"...she was sold as a slave by her own parents..."

I dropped my head sadly and walked through the crowds. I wanted to hide my face and disappear.

I served the last of my drinks and went into the back room, I dropped my tray and went into hiding.

I soon found a quiet corner as sat there alone. My aching legs began to catch up to me and they throbbed terribly. I cried as I tried to massage them to life.

I wasn't the only waiter and the guests had much more appeal to the maids that were sexily dressed.

If you asked me, I was doing everyone a favour, getting out of their sight. I was dizzy and hungry as well as tired.

I wasn't allowed to touch any of the party food so rest was as good as anything I could get.

I closed my eyes and then drifted off to sleep. It was uncomfortable and I could still hear the mockery I got from people. I could never escape it but at least I wasn't there to see their faces.

Splash!

"You wretched and stupid creature! What are you doing here?!"

I was shaken violently awake by ice water running down my hair, skin and clothes. I immediately began to shiver and as I looked up, I saw who my assailants were.

"I was just taking a nap. I have been serving drinks all day. You guys take turns and no one even wants me there."

I tried to explain but instead, I felt a kick to my stomach and reeled forward in pain, falling again into the ice water that made a puddle on the floor. I was chilled to my bones.

"You bitch! So you thought that you could just sleep on the job? Well, you thought wrong."

The air was filled with a high pitched laugh and soon a barrage of slaps came at me. I tried to hide my face but punches and kicks connected with other parts of my body.

After a while which felt like eternity,

"Let's leave her girls. She doesn't need to half dead to serve drinks. We have some good looking men to talk to."

The hitting stopped and soon I heard heels walk away. I still sat in the corner of the room with my head hidden in my face and hands.

It was Gina. She was like an idol to the maids. They all looked up to her and followed her like little soldiers doing her biding with their tiny brains.

She had a special place in Alpha Draco's heart and took so much pride in the fact that she was sleeping with him.

I had passed the Alpha's room a few times at night –I always worked late into the night– and I would hear Gina screaming like a disemboweled puppy as he fucked her.

The noise was unnecessary but everyone worshipped her just because she was giving the Alpha a little pussy every now and then.

She was the slut's slut. It was only a matter of time till he moved on to someone more exciting and her puppy screaming would come to an end.

"Do you need a hand?"

I looked up and saw a tall male figure standing infront of me.

He had kind dark eyes and his face was breathtakingly handsome. He had no smile, no expression at all but his stoicism amplified his jaw line and made him look like a god.

"No it's fine. I'll just get myself..."

I tried to stand up but fell back in pain. A tear ran down my cheek and soon an out-stretched palm was offered to me.

I looked at it skeptically. Why was he helping me? But anyways, I took the hand and was pulled up gently.

I tried not to fall into him. That last thing I needed was me getting his clothes all wet but then again, I wouldn't mind. He smelled wonderful.

"You should get changed into some dry clothes and get your injuries healed."

He reached into his pocket and gave me a small glass vial. He handed it to me but I was skeptical to take it. What if it was was poison?

"This is a potion that will make you heal faster. I know that you are an Omega and you can't work in the state that you're in. Also, get something to eat. I know you are hungry."

I took the vial from him and gazed at the clear blue liquid. He smelled exquisite. His perfume was expensive but I knew that he wasn't my...

I looked around and I was suddenly alone. He had disappeared.

I sighed sadly. I wish more people like him existed. I looked at the vial again. If I did drink it and it was poison, at least his face would be the last face I saw before I died. It was better than the life I was living.

I opened it and tilted the vial to my mouth and downed the contents in one swing. The effects were almost instant.

I felt my body become stronger and soon, all my bruises healed. My leg no longer throbbed and my stomach no longer gave me pain. I looked at the vial again and kept it in my pocket–as a memory to the first kind person I had met in my entire life.

I quickly got changed into dry, clean clothes and began to wait again. People still avoided me but I felt lighter and happy and used that opportunity to look for the kind man that gave me the potion but he had truly disappeared like a ghost.

I continued to serve and look through the crowds for him but I was losing hope fast.

Maybe he was just a fragment of my imagination. No, he had to be real. The vial he gave me was very real and it was in my pocket pressing against my....

I felt something trip me up and I fell forward with the tray of drinks in my hands.

I tried to stop myself but I couldn't. The contents spilled on a guest and the whole party went silent and a gasp ran through the crowds.

I rushed to my feet and soon found myself staring into the the darkest pair of angry eyes I had ever seen.

I felt his hot angry breath on my face as he stared furiously at me. Suddenly a scent rushed into my nostrils and I felt dizzy and lightheaded.

I looked at him again and felt an intense attraction to him. I gasped.

This couldn't be.

There had to be some kind of mistake but there was none. The Goddess never made a mistake.

I whispered under my breath, loud enough for only the both of us to hear.

"Mate..."
