Chapter 30

Laura headed over to her father's house to hear the full story of what happened, it was good to know that her brother Bryan, was no longer in trouble.

"Hey, Dad, good morning," Laura greeted him, her heart racing with anticipation, as she entered the house.

Mr. Markson with a sigh of relief, "Laura, you are here," he said, sinking into the couch.

Laura, without hesitation, called out to her Mom Claudia, and Bryan, settling in the sitting room.

Once everyone was calm, Laura asked her Dad to give her details of how everything happened. As Mr. Markson finished explaining, Bryan interjected, his voice tinged with concern, "I really should go talk to Michael," his gaze fixed downward.

"What for? I don't think you have to do that, look at the mess he put you through!" Bella exclaimed, anger in her tone. However, Bryan insists on his decision to go to the station.

"Are you sure he wasn't the one who told the police about your hideout?" Bella asked, looking at Bryan with curiosity.
