Chapter 3

I entered in and was awstruck with its luxury.The entire room screamed richness intimidating me more.I stood in front of the soon to be CEO who's none other than that morning model.He has not even spared me a glance.I stood there like a statue waiting for him to speak.

(1..2...50...100....280...) I'm counting the seconds now..."ohh poor Riya!! You've definitely lost ur mind in fear" mocked my inner self..Hey...you can't blame me.what will I do.To overcome the nervousness I started counting.

299. 300...its 5 minutes now...This is the longest 5 mins of my life..Still he didnt even look at me ..He's so engrossed in his mobile...what should I do now? Should I begin saying my apology or wait for him to start...Dear earth...please swallow me right now!! 

10 minutes passed ....20 minutes...half an hour...almost an hour now....I've been standing in the same position for an hour ..My legs started paining now... 

"Yessssss!!! winner winner chicken dinner"....

Whaaaat? Was he playing game all this time...professionalism! My foot!

"Why are you late Ms.Riya?" ...Finally he opened his mouth after good long 1 hour..If he's not my CEO and if this job is not important for my family,I would have smacked his face right now..He made me stand one whole hour to play some stupid game..The audacity of this man.. 

Anger replaced all my nervousness and fear..

"Sorry sir, I use public transport and due to some strike, buses have not arrived in their usual scheduled time.."

No response .

"Sorry sir,I won't repeat it again"

"Better don't ms.Riya .otherwise you'll find yourself searching for a new job.U can leave now". Came his authoritative voice.

God!!! I'm not fired ! Thank youu!!

As soon as I heard the 'leave' word, I sprinted out of his office...

I went straight to the elevator..only now I can breathe normally...phew !!! 

I did a small happy mental dance on the fact of me not getting fired..

I went straight to the manager to inform and thank him.

"I knocked on the manager's door and waited out "

"Come in . ohh Riya..what happened there ? Its been one hour u left. I'm worried for you .what did he say?"

He warned me to not repeat it again.

"Thank god..Eat ur breakfast and then move to work Riya"

"Sure sir.thank you"

He's usually strict yet a good man from heart...and he proved it today by helping me in my tough situation..

I ate my breakfast in canteen real quick and got back to my work.

Office is full of gossips today.The hot topic of the town is all about the new hot CEO AKshay.

"He's sooo haawtt" 

"I heard that he's a girl's heart breaker"

"He's a play boy dude..He uses girls for time pass"

"No doubt .Girls will fall for his one look.even I'll do anything to get him."

I'm now hearing the gosipping section of two girls ..Really? Why this much fuss about it? Yeah,he's handsome and all..but ...whatever ! I'll do my work now...

My neighbour colleague and a sweet lady, suja greeted me..,"hey Riya,you are late today...so unusual of you".

I narrated the whole incident to her leaving the part in which I met him morning before office ..She laughed for good 2 minutes when I said what he did the entire hour..

"He never visits office Riya..His last visit was before 2 years..As his father was out of station,he attended that important meeting ..Thats it.But suddenly today he announced that he'll take in charge of this company..As far as I heard,he don't take responsibilities ...partying, girls ,friends is all his life..Strange !! "

"Whatever..I'll make sure to be in office half an hour early from tomorrow .I've had enough today".

Its almost 2 now. I headed towards canteen to have my lunch...I still don't have any friends here except for Suja..she'll always bring food from home .so I've no other option than to go by myself..

I placed my order and sat in a corner table..

"Boooooooom !! Heyyyyyy cutiee" I almost jumped from the seat hearing it...There came a girl and dragged the opposite chair of mine and made herself comfortable..

"Hey idiot!" Another girl came running cursing the first one..."Hey sorry! She's always like that. Hope you'll not mind us sitting here",said the second one.

"No.Not at all".I gave them my confused smile ..I know they work in my office ,but I don't know them personally...They are one famous gang of the office.Two boys and two girls..almost everyone here knows them...

"Hai ...I'm arohi...Actually our friend Rahul is smitten by you from the day you joined. and.I like you too for some unknown reason...so decided to make you our friend...what say?" Said the chirpy first girl..

Seriously ? I'm controlling myself from laughing out loud...But I like this type of person...how can she be so jovial to a new person..It'll take me at least 4 months to speak at this level of comfortness. 

Arohi's friend mouthed me saying that she's crazy...

I smiled at her and turned towards arohi.."Sure arohi. Who would like to miss a friend like you ?! " I said and she winked at me....

"I'm Rithanya..and you can call me rithu " said arohi's frnd...

"Hai Rithu" I said and we exchanged our smiles.

"Hey guys.I'll be back in a minute"said arohi and disappeared.I continued chatting with Rithu ..she's really pretty and calm.whereas Arohi is bold and beautiful ..

After 5 mins Arohi walked towards us , practically dragging a boy with her ..And another boy following them .

She dragged him till the table ,and left him to take her seat.."come on boys.she won't mind..take your seats"..Arohi talked for me...while some may find it annoying I found it amusing.. I like this girl already.

The boys stood there waiting for my approval...ohh gentlemen !! "No problem.take your seats" I said in my usual calm way..

One boy introduced himself as Rakesh and the other one kept quiet...Arohi was nagging him constantly for god knows what.. I think he finally agreed to do what arohi wanted ...An evil satisfacted smile crossed her face.

"Ha..hai...I'm ..Mmmm ...I'm Rahul ". A handsome man greeted me..

Yet not more handsome than that CEO Akshay.."why are you even comparing him with akshay Riya? From where did this akshay came?" I slapped myself mentally...

"Hai Rahul..I'm Riya".. I said to him..Is he blushing?? Oh God. That's one hilarious sight to see..a 6 feet tall man with muscles ripping out of his shirt is blushing now.. 

Our order nos are announced and the two boys generously accepted to bring our orders too..Rahul handed me my plate and I said a quick thank you to him.

I've been laughing so hard now that my cheeks started to hurt..This Arohi is really crazy.she's been talking nonstop and we are all laughing like maniacs..with Rahul glancing me sometimes..we all bid our goodbyes with a promise to meet for lunch tomorrow ..

I returned home from office around 6 pm.I narrated the whole day to my mom and sister.They had a nice story time today...Then i went to my room to bath and freshen up..after a good bath I slipped on my pyjamas and settled in my bed with the mobile..

When I was scrolling my I*******m feed,I received a W******p text...

FRIENDS...a msg from the new formed group....I know it will be of arohi and gang..

Arohi : Hi darloos.

Riya: hi

Rahul:hii everyone.

Arohi: hey Rahul, I know your hi is for the onlyone .

Rahul: shut up idiot.

Rakesh: I support Arohi.you never ever replied in this group .whats so special today.

I know.they are teasing rahul for replying my msg..I kept quiet not wanting to earn their teasing.

They are quarelling now abusing each other.

Rithu: hey,how about beach and dinner tomorrow .Let's celebrate Riya joining our gang.. What say guys !!

Rahul: that's a good idea 

Arohi: why wouldn't it be?

Rahul: 🤐🤐🤐

Rithu: what say Riya?

Riya: I'm in .

Rakesh : someone won't sleep this night .

Arohi: sure thing...

Riya: OK guys .see you all tomorrow.goodnight.

Though first half part of my day is hectic , i liked the other half..I'm more than excited for tomorrow.with that I dozed off...
